For this portfolio piece, the current crisis communication problem being addressed in relation to Integrated Marketing Communication involved the incorporation of accessibility initiatives into crisis communication strategy planning. To achieve this, I explored providing solutions using Situational Crisis Communication Theory. By using recent crisis examples like the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change impacted events, and political movements, I was able to successfully quantify the types of disasters requiring consideration of individuals with disabilities and offer recommendations that include disabled stakeholders.
